Our travel agent, Erich Weldon, was awesome. Made all the reservations for us, sent us the confirmation information and directions. He made sure all the perks and extras were confirmed for this reservation. He even contacted us the day before to make sure we did not have any questions. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to others.
My Unforgettable Birthday Thanks to Erich!
I can’t say enough about how amazing Erich is as a travel advisor! I’d never used one before, but after this experience, I can’t imagine planning a special trip without him. For my birthday, I wanted to do something memorable—so I reached out to Erich and asked if he could help plan a night in Waikiki while I was in town to see Chicago on Broadway. From the very beginning, he was so friendly, responsive, and genuinely excited to help make my birthday special.
Erich recommended the Halekulani, so we booked it. Every detail was taken care of in ways that totally blew me away. When I got to my hotel room, not only was there a bottle of champagne waiting for me (such a fun surprise!), but there was also a handwritten note from the general manager wishing me a happy birthday. And get this—my room was upgraded to a King ocean front, and the room number was 1202—my birthday is 12.02! I have no idea if that was a coincidence or Erich’s magic, but it made me smile so much.
Erich even called the hotel ahead of time to make sure everything was set up perfectly. Since he knew my show was at 8:00 pm, he reserved me a table at House Without a Key at 5:30 pm, which was just incredible. I’d also mentioned in passing that I’ve been trying to get a Sunday brunch reservation at Orchids for over a year, but they’re always booked months in advance. Somehow, Erich worked his magic and got me a reservation with just a couple weeks’ notice! That brunch was honestly the cherry on top of an already perfect weekend.
What I really appreciated was how easy it was to reach Erich and how much he genuinely cared about making sure everything was just right. He thought of things I never would have even considered, and I felt so taken care of every step of the way.

However, the hotel staff effectively managed the situation by utilizing service elevators to minimize wait times and ensuring prompt assistance for guests. Their responsiveness in a difficult situation was commendable.

We had a wonderful experience working Erich for our trip to Tokyo. He helped arrange a hotel that was clean, comfortable, and incredibly convenient—just steps from the subway, which made getting around the city easy.
One of the highlights of our trip was the samurai lesson he organized. The kids absolutely loved it—it was engaging, unique, and such a memorable experience for our whole family. Thanks to the easy access to public transportation, we were also able to explore the city with ease, including visiting three different Pokémon Centers, which was a huge hit with the kiddos.

What can I say about my travel advisor Erich Weldon. This ended up being a trip of my dreams. I have never experienced such luxury. Everything was planned out. All I had to do was pack my suitcase. I didn’t have to plan anything. It was the most amazing experience. Tours were booked. Taxis were booked. Tickets were booked. Experiences were booked. I just told Erich what I thought would make me happy and he was like a “fairy godfather.” Erich booked experiences. We met Fulvia at the Trionfale market to buy ingredients to make our lunch. She drove us to her country home where we learned to make raviolis and stuffed zucchini flowers. We luxuriated in her gardens with fragrant flowers, jasmine, honey, and cherry trees. We had another experience of Italian dinner party in Treveste with Barbara. Two private day tours to the Almalif Coast and Tuscany. We had private tours that got us into the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Vatican without having to wait in long queues. Our tour guides were experienced and had the answers to our questions and were able to navigate us around the sites with ease. We had reservations at restaurants that were a culinary delight and had the views to match. Without Erich’s strategic planning and analysis of our needs, we would have never experienced Italy in such a myriad of ways. In addition Erich goes above and beyond. Our flight was canceled the day before we were to leave, due to a strike. We are in a different time zone and contacted Erich at 5 AM our time, probably midnight his. We panicked. He took over. We were able to get a flight that night and booked into a wonderful, wonderful hotel. He even made sure we got a car service from the airport directly to the hotel. We had no worries at all on this trip he made everything effortless and seamless, and you couldn’t ask for more. I would never hesitate to use his services or to refer him to anybody. I know I tell everybody all I had to do was PACK MY SUITCASE. Isn’t that a real vacation?
